Overview

Verified Auto Transport understands that plans change. This policy explains your options for cancelling a vehicle transport booking and the applicable refund terms.

Before Carrier Assignment — Full Refund

If you cancel your booking before a carrier has been assigned to your shipment, you will receive a full refund of the $85 platform fee.

This applies when:

  • Your shipment is in "pending dispatch" status
  • No carrier has accepted or been assigned to your shipment
  • The transport contract has not been countersigned by a carrier

Refunds are processed through Stripe to your original payment method. Allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.

After Carrier Assignment — Non-Refundable

Once a carrier has been assigned to your shipment and the transport contract is signed, the $85 platform fee is non-refundable.

This policy exists because once a carrier is assigned, the Platform has already:

  • Performed dispatch matching across the carrier network
  • Facilitated contract signing through Dropbox Sign
  • Coordinated carrier scheduling and route planning
  • Reserved the carrier's availability for your shipment

Carrier Transport Rate

The carrier's transport rate is paid directly to the carrier at delivery. Since the Platform does not collect, hold, or process carrier payments, the carrier's cancellation terms (if applicable) are between you and the carrier.

How to Cancel

To cancel a booking:

  1. Log in to your account at verifiedautotransport.com
  2. Navigate to your shipment in the customer dashboard
  3. Select "Cancel Booking"
  4. Confirm your cancellation

    5. The system will automatically determine whether a refund applies based on whether a carrier has been assigned.
